The DoubleTree by Hilton Heathrow operates in a uniquely demanding environment, serving a constant flow of overnight guests, airline crews, conference attendees and short-stay visitors.

What did we achieve for our client?

Since the introduction of Ocean Parking’s managed solution, the car park now operates more efficiently, with improved availability for hotel guests and reduced unauthorised parking.

Hotel staff have greater confidence that parking issues are being managed proactively, allowing them to focus on guest service rather than parking complaints. The solution continues to support the smooth running of the hotel in a challenging, high-demand airport location.

Due to the hotel’s proximity to Heathrow Airport, the car park was experiencing regular misuse from non-guests seeking short-term or unofficial airport parking. This reduced availability for genuine customers and created additional pressure on hotel teams managing day-to-day operations.

The hotel required a parking management solution that would protect guest parking while remaining flexible, discreet and aligned with the expectations of a busy airport hotel environment.

Ocean Parking worked closely with the hotel team and Focus Hotel Group to introduce a parking management solution designed specifically for an airport-adjacent hospitality setting.

The solution included:

  • Clearly displayed contractual signage to set clear parking terms and manage driver expectations
  • The ability to list car parking spaces to over 15 million drivers whilst further monetising the car park and allow parking to non-guests.
  • A structured but fair enforcement approach to deter unauthorised airport parking
  • Systems designed to support hotel operations, including exemptions and flexibility where required
  • A customer-focused back-office team to handle queries professionally and efficiently

Throughout the mobilisation and ongoing operation, the focus remained on supporting the hotel team while maintaining a positive experience for genuine guests.
